Welcome to Japanese Acupuncture

Dedicated to celebrating health and well-being, Japanese Acupuncture embodies caring attention with the highest standard.

The secret of good health is in a balance of the mind and body. Western science has finally been catching up with evidence which suggests mental health impacts physical wellbeing. Japanese Acupuncture excels in achieving the goal, and in so doing, rediscovering a healing power of our mind and body.

What Is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture has over 2000 years of history with clinically proven medical results. It is based on empirical studies on human bodies, and is not based on mysticism or philosophy. Its concept, the balance of Yin & Yang, or the homeostasis of polar opposites, has not changed. Acupuncture points used thousands of years ago are still used today.

Acupuncture does not have a similar anatomy to Western science, instead it has tested effective functions. The major difference between acupuncture and Western science is that acupuncture treats the body as a whole.

Sterile and disposal needles are gently inserted in the body along the acupuncture energetic channels, called meridians. Japanese Acupuncture technique is non-invasive and painless to many.

What is Qi?

Qi (in Chinese) or Ki (in Japanese) is the body energy, a Life Energy. It is an energy which binds all things in the universe. In the binding, Qi exists in the bonding relationship to the whole. It is an energy of relationship, always striving to be balanced.

When the balance is disturbed, free flow of Qi energy in the meridians is affected, and pain and illness may develop.

Acupuncture nourishes the vital components of life, bringing the whole body into homeostasis.

What To Expect

Wear light and comfortable clothes. Most acupuncture points are located in the hands and feet, head, abdomen, and back.

During an acupuncture session, most people experience comfort and relaxation, some may fall asleep. Sense of emotional clearing is common.

A number of treatments required is discussed with each client for the maximum benefits.

Professional quality herbs in granule (powder form) are available when they are appropriate.

How Safe Is Acupuncture?

Japanese Acupuncture only uses sterile and disposable acupuncture needles and adheres to clean needle technique in accordance with the National Acupuncture Foundation.

Moxibustion is a healing technique of burning the herb called mugwort. It may be burned on the handle of the needle, above the skin, or on salt. The burning of mugwort, or more commonly known as moxa, gives warmth to the body, activating a meridian.
